Antioch
(30 A.D.—- 350 A.D.)
The leader says:
At Pentecost, after the disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit, they began proclaiming the good news.
Thousands accepted their message, were baptized, and joined the Church.
Between the years 37 A.D. and 62 A.D., the Early Church was persecuted in Jerusalem.[3] Many who
had been scattered went as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word and proclaiming
the LORD Jesus. The hand of the LORD was with them and a great number who believed turned to
the LORD. It was in Antioch that the disciples were first called Christians.
